🧙♂️My name is Karina (aka Shepengul) and I’m a professional illustrator.
For the past 4 years, I’ve dedicated myself to what I love most: illustration for books, and maps in particular. In that time, I’ve grown immensely and have had the honor of becoming a trusted creative partner for over 100 authors.
I create illustrations for authors, publishers, and games. While my heart lies in fantasy and magical realism, I’m always excited to explore other genres, from sci-fi to non-fiction.
My goal is to make maps that are visually captivating, unique, and rich with information. Above all, I want to be a reliable creative partner, helping to bring your world to life and making the journey of world-building a little easier and a lot more magical.

Out of the office
When I’m not drawing maps, you’ll almost certainly find me with my nose in a book—mostly fiction, philosophy, and anything on linguistics (languages are a personal passion of mine). And then there are travels! Nature refills my soul and fuels my inspiration (plus, it’s the best way to gather references for my maps 😊).
